I’d once gotten a question wrong in my science lesson. I felt quite embarrassed, I was very sensitive back then and walked out the classroom. That’s when I first met Mr Brown. He asked me what was wrong and I had told him what had happened. He cheered me up and told me that sometimes we get things wrong. But that it shouldn’t be something to be embarrassed about because we can learn this way. I then was taught by him from year 10 to year 11, and he was just so kind. Always. He was always there. And I feel lucky to have known him.

I was in one of Mr Brown's classes a few years ago. But to say he was my teacher doesn't do him justice - he was a true role model. His kind encouragement, guidance and sense of humour will be traits I will always remember, and will always strive to match. The lessons he taught all his students (both on science and how to be better people) will no doubt live on and continue to help us for a very long time.
